"The Great Commission"
The quotes below are refering to what is known as "the great commission". So, Christians do actually believe that Jesus has commanded all believers to take over & dominate the world, for christ. In order to accomplish this task, they need to abolish the separation of church & state in the US & around the world. Which is why they so desparately want to get so involved in politics.
Matthew 28:19-20
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
